Ray Canal Fish Screen

2017 Web Site Slides - Ray Canal

Ray Canal diverts water from the South Fork of the Little Wind River near Fort Washakie in Central Wyoming. The canal irrigates land on and near the Wind River Indian Reservation. Entrainment studies on the canal have documented up to 100,000 fish lost per year. As part of the reconstruction of the diversion dam, OneFish designed and helped oversee construction of a fish screen for the canal. OneFish also reviewed the design and construction of a fish ladder to allow upstream passage at the dam. In a separate project, OneFish installed a real time flow gauging station downstream of the fish screen (see Wind River Gauging).
