Encampment River Dam Removal
The East Fork of the Encampment River joins the Encampment River about 12 miles south of the the town of Encampment, Wyoming and just north of the Colorado - Wyoming border. The Encampment River system supports a vibrant and popular fishery. A measurement weir just above the confluence of the two rivers acted as a barrier to upstream fish passage, and was no longer needed for flow monitoring. OneFish provided plans for removal of the dam and restoration of the adjacent stream, and oversaw the demolition and restoration process.
Dam removal opened up 8 additional miles of stream habitat
